FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT US (ALL GENDERS) | 20 H / WEEK

To strengthen our global Finance team, we are looking for a Financial Accountant US (all genders) to join us as soon as possible on a part-time basis. In this role, you will take ownership of the financial accounting for our US entities and help ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes in an international environment. You will become part of a collaborative global finance team and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities, and financial reporting. This position offers a broad range of responsibilities and the opportunity to actively contribute to process improvements. You will be based at our office in New Jersey, alternatively you can also work at our headquater in Berlin.

YOUR TASKS

General Ledger:

  • You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Intercompany reconciliations will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring that balances between entities are accurately recorded and aligned.

Subledger:

  • Your role will include processing and reconciling bank transactions as well as postings from retail cash registers.
  • Incoming invoices will be reviewed by you for tax compliance, correctly coded and posted in the accounting system, while supplier queries and discrepancies are resolved through direct communication.
  • You will perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable, investigating and resolving any differences that arise.
  • Maintaining and updating accounting master data to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial records will be an important part of your responsibilities.
  • In addition, you will prepare and execute supplier payment runs in accordance with established approval processes and company policies.

Tax:

  • You will support the preparation of U.S. tax returns and work closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and to resolve tax-related matters and reconciliations.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have successfully completed a commercial, business administration, or comparable qualification.
  • At least three years of professional experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial accounting have equipped you with a solid understanding of accounting processes and best practices.
  • You possess very good English language skills, enabling you to communicate effectively in an international business environment.
  • A high level of responsibility, independence, structure, and attention to detail characterizes the way you work.
  • Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA is considered as advantage, but not mandatory.
  • You bring a hands-on mindset and enjoy identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies.
